Which is another item in all of this.

In the past one member was told that her son was being sufficiently
destructive that he was no longer welcome at WSFA meetings unless there was
someone who would take responsibility for him. This is a reasonable
request for a host to make; there was actual physical damage to the meeting
site and the child was absolutely not barred, the parents were simply asked
to take responsibility for him or find someone else who would do so.

It is, however, a very different matter for a host to unilaterally bar
someone from meetings because the host has taken offence to a mild remark.

I agree. Over the years he has been backed or has backed further and
further into the position of supporting his wife to the point that he will
now not only listen to other pieces of what's going on so that he might
help her, he is no longer willing to even accept that anything other than
what she says is the case exists. The walls of his position have closed in
on him, and he's now in a very small box.

I vividly remember how absolutely glowing with happiness he was when he and
Lee first got together . . . and tears have come to my eyes as I write.
