Some things being very important does not make less important things
irrevelevent.  We pay attention to many things in a short period,
things that are urgent, interesting, convenient, selected for us by
others, etc.  We pay more attention to people and things that are
close to us or frequently contacted.  These are some concepts that
help ne figure out what is  important.

This dispute is a significant issue, if you are Keith and feel that
someone would like to force you away from a group that you have worked
hard for, or if you can imagine yourself in Keith's position and are
made uncomfortable by that prospect, or if you are me and have been
asked not to attend meetings that you have been attending since the
first Friday in October, 1976.  It's certainly also significant to
Lee, although I disagree strongly with her position and actions.

Maybe this dispute will turn out to be the *small* flood that makes
us return our own SF-inal delta to a more natural state before we
are washed away.

IMHO you would be more qualified to say that if you had observed all
those involved for a decade or two.  Patterns of behavior (and culture)
would have become apparent.  You would have identified some that are
more "grown up," and some that better understand what is important to
the health of the club (my definition of "a grip").

Can you offer specific evidence indicating that long hard looks have
not already been taken?
