Depending on the attitude of your parents toward this, it could be stressful, or joyful. I am happy to continue having them at the Gilliland's if that's the club's decision and if the Gillilands don't withdraw the offer, but as there are a growing number of members who won't attend meetings there anymore, it would appear that a new venue is going to be required. I guess we'll all find out Friday where that will be. I'd like to thank Alexis and Lee (and Doll if that's possible) for the use of their home for all of the First Friday meetings I've ever attended. They've been very enjoyable, and went very smoothly and it was very good of them to host the meetings for so long and so reliably. Like the old C-640 con suite at Disclave, I have some fond memories of that room, like listening to Somtow playing Happy Birthday as done by various great composers, or the old tradition of God Save the Queen at midnight...before the party resumed for its second half. >Connie suggested I offer our home as a venue for the first Friday >meetings and I am pleased to do so. Personally, I could get there almost as easily as I can get to Arlington, and it wouldn't be a whole lot farther if I took White's Ferry over to 15 south. Heading out 7 from D.C. or No. Va. involves traffic pretty much all of the time though (I had a GF in Sterling so I've made the drive many times), and I doubt there's any public transportation out that way. Are there any First Friday attendees who need that if Keith leaves the club? -- Mike B. -- Brother Gatling Gun of Reasoned Discussion -- Unitarian Jihad - All extremists should be shot!
