A very long time ago we had a desk that was made out of the crates used to
ship my parent's possesions from overseas.  At that time the crates were
made of a wonderful heavy wood, although I've unfortunately forgotten what
kind.  Since it was so heavy and had been built in place it was left behind
when we moved.

Meanwhile, where does one find apple boxes?
