The digest function is worthless for > high-volume lists. It truncates. Topica is even worse. While I agree with you about continuing this list as long as Keith is willing to host it, I can't agree about Yahoo, or, for that matter, Topica. I belong to a dozen Yahoo lists, one of them very high-volume (100 to 300 posts a day; over 6,000 in the month of August). Some of the other members get it in digest form. None have complained about truncation. There were simply several digests a day. As for Topica, I am on a small list of old friends which used Topica for a time, but gave it up because it did not offer a files section the way Yahoo does -- and we wanted to post photos (some of them 30 or 40 years old). --Ted White
