Not everyone was there last night, and anyone reading the minutes in years
to come is likely to know nothing more of what went on last night than are
in the minutes from last night (understandably not known yet). Elspeth's
comment (I'm presuming), and mine about the same item here on this list,
were intended to point out to the Secretary that some corrections/additions
to the prior minutes are needed to clarify this point (mine included a
couple of others as well). I hope that when he returns from his trip, he
will see the comments and take appropriate action.

It is customary for the Secretary to post the draft minutes for comment so
that corrections and clarifications can be incorporated before they go into
the Journal. It's not required, as they can be done as corrections at the
next meeting and incorporated that way, but I think it's a good
practice...especially since I couldn't be at the next meeting due to recent
surgery.
