Subject: [WSFA] COUNTERCULTURE TALK/SIGNING DEC. 15 TAKOMA PARK MD

Friends:
My co-author Ken Goffman (aka R. U. Sirius) and I will be talking about and
signing the new, paperback edition of our book COUNTERCULTURE THROUGH THE
AGES at 7:30 PM on Thursday, December 15th in Takoma Park, Maryland. The
event will take place at a unique location--Sangha, a fair trade store,
performance space, and community center on Westmoreland Avenue. We expect our
presentation to be followed by live music and countercultural conviviality.
It would be great to see you there if you can make it!

The address of Sangha is 7014 Westmoreland Avenue, Takoma Park, MD 20912. Sangha
is adjacent to the Carroll Avenue Gazebo Stage and 2 blocks from the Takoma Metro.
The entrance to Sangha is off the street and and could be a little hard to find,
but the directions at http://www.sangha.ws/VisitingSangha.html will prevent any
problems. The phone # at Sangha is (301) 891-3214.

Happy holidays,
Dan Joy

"...a madcap trip across time and myth, a sort of Ken and Dan's excellent adventure
that stresses the Promethean impulse to steal fire and give it to the common man."
  THE WASHINGTON POST

This is a brilliant book...Defying authority with creative edge has been a powerful
force throughout history, and Sirius and Joy capture the magic with the authentic
insight of people who've been riders on that wave. WALTER ISAACSON, former
chairman and CEO of CNN, author of Benjamin Franklin: an American Life

Be seeing you,
