Room sharing is quite common, and sleeping in a closet is an obvious thing to do when the closets are large and carpeted. $182 is just *way* too much to pay for a few hours shut-eye and a couple of hot showers. Too much by at least a factor of ten. I forgot to mention that there was another convention in that hotel, a public health convention. Former WSFAn Perrianne Lurie was attending *both* conventions. She had been planning on missing Philcon and attending the public health convention in New Orleans, but for some strange reason it was relocated to Philadelphia. This is convenient for her not just because it was in the same hotel with Philcon, but because she's a Pennsylvania resident anyway. I wonder if she gets a bulk discount for registering for *all* the conventions in a hotel. I also wonder which convention got the better hotel rates, or whether the savings of each can be combined. No email from you has been blocked; it was two other guys. One message has been re-sent. The other reported the death of Robert Sheckley.
