Nope, nothing like that here, despite riding metro to commute for a year
once upon a time.

Wild guess as to what happened?  She wasn't paying very close attention,
and thought the seat was empty.  She sat down, found you there, and decided
you'd jumped in and grabbed it literally out from under her.  That would
explain things anyway.

Another guess?  She lost her balance and fell on you, and the "how rude"
comment was directed at herself...but you did say "sat", not "fell".

Last wild guess?  Three martini lunch...
