Somtow Sucharitkul's first book was "Starship and Haiku" and it dealt
with whales. Imagine his surprise when the German edition appeared with
a samurai sword draped with bits of cloth as the cover image.
Supposedly when he asked "Why?" the respones was "Vell, zie book iz
about vhales..." vhales.... veils.... (See:
