Lynch" <kfl at KeithLynch.net> To: WSFA members <WSFAlist at KeithLynch.net> Subject: [WSFA] Re: Alexis Goes Public Reply-To: WSFA members <WSFAlist at KeithLynch.net> I'm pleased that Mike Glyer declined to print the libelous flier which Alexis circulated at November's First Friday, which he evidently enclosed with his letter. I am quite upset that Alexis has chosen to broadcast his slanders to the four corners of fandom, even after Ted and I both left the club. What more does he want from us? Seppuku? One oddity is the business about meetings having been held at the Gillilands for 28 years. When that number was printed in December's WSFA Journal, I thought maybe Ernest had misquoted Alexis. But it's unlikely that Mike would make the exact same mistake -- and he was working from Alexis's letter, not from the Journal. So the mistake must be Alexis's. What reason would Alexis have to *subtract* a decade from the time he has been hosting? (He's been hosting WSFA for 38 years, not 28.) Like Lee's untruths, there's no pattern to it. It's just random. I'm not a doctor, so I won't speculate further. The club owes a lot to Alexis. But that doesn't give him license to viciously spread malicious falsehoods about members and former members. If I were still a member, I'd move that the club give half its treasury to the Gillilands for services rendered, on condition that they go away, never again host or attend any WSFA event, and cease making defamatory statements about past and present WSFA members. P.S. Would someone *please* contact NetWizards about getting my name and address taken off the whois record for WSFA.org?
