This looks like the sort of story that All Things Considered likes to
cover.  I just gave them the link.  Maybe they'll think it's worth some air
time.  This probably isn't the only drug this has happened with, nor will
it be the last, and people should be aware of what sort of things are being
done in their name.  Thanks for posting the link here.
