Well, that's one way I suppose.  I had a different idea in mind though.

Barring the "infinite parallel universes" theory of time travel, traveling
into the past is the equivalent of reversing entropy on the entire
universe, except what is being sent into the past.  If you can put every
single particle and photon in creation, except yourself, back to the same
location and energy state it had at some point in the past, you should find
assembling a few atoms in the shape of money to be a trivial exercise....
