Just had another thought, though it's probably not all that valid...if you made a typo when you set up the forwarding entry, that would account for the lack of forwarding. E-mail addresses can be case sensitive for instance (the host part should never be, but you never know about the rest), or maybe there's an extra or wrong character or something (hitting comma rather than period in the host name is sometimes hard to spot, depending on age and font size... ;-).
