    I'm surprised at how many I haven't read.  I don't
think I read any of the SF novels.  I am surprised that
Robert Jordan's book is on the recommended list.  the
thought of reading enough books in that series to catch up
is horrifying
   The YA fantasy "Valiant" by Holly Black is very good.
 Holly had supper with us after year before last's
 Washington Bookfest.
