The club has been meeting at the Gillilands, not for 28 years, as
Alexis recently claimed, but for *38*.  His error makes me wonder if
he's losing it.  That's one error that can't be attributed to malice.

It's no longer my club, but if it was, my suggestion would be that
"peace at any price" is not a wise policy.  As it is, you've conceded
that it's really the Gilliland Science Fiction Association, as Alexis
gets to pick and choose which members are allowed to attend.  When
push came to shove, you backed down on your earlier statement that if
not all members are welcome, it's not a WSFA meeting, and that it's
not fair to do WSFA business there.

While only one member has been officially banned from the house,
several others have been made to feel extremely unwelcome.  Unprovoked
public libel and slander will do that.

Perhaps someone will come forward and offer to host First Fridays.  38
years is enough for any one man.  Failing that, the club could amend
its bylaws to meet only once a month.
