I'd love to check it out! 9101 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD (301) 657-4322 I only know how to drive there; I don't know whether there is public transportation anywhere nearby, but it's citified enough so that there ought to be. http://www.stoneridge.org >From the beltway north of DC, take the exit for Wisconsin Avenue and turn to go South (if you went north, it would be route 355/Rockville Pike). The turn for the sale is a few blocks further on; take a left turn at a light at the bottom of a hill, and there is a big sign on the (left side) corner opposite that says "Stone Ridge Book Sale". (If you miss the turn it's a slight nuisance to go on and find a place to turn around but it can be done.) Once you've made the turn, it's a short way down the road to the right turn. Friday it was mobbed and there were people with walkie-talkies to direct you to an available parking place. Bring something with wheels to haul books back to the car with, and a spare poncho or something to keep the rain off the box. They do have a few "loaner dollies", but it may be easier if you have a second person to watch the stuff while one goes and gets the car. There are empty boxes under the tables (be alert for boxes that are "claimed" as people sometimes leave them under tables with a coat on top, and dealers have huge heaps of books at the far end of the room). There is a rest room and a minimal snack bar, but you have to leave any un-paid-for books inside the sales room; best to pay for a bunch, take them to the car, and go back to take care of vital needs before going back into the book rooms. =Tamar
