I was at the other end of the trip, in a gaggle of L5 Society members right
in front of the IMAX camera position at Edwards AFB for the landing.  Any  of
the thousands of people who had to push their overheated cars off the lakebed
afterward may remember the smug twenty-somethings putting happily along in an
 air-cooled Volkswagen.
