I thought Capclave was >going for *quality*. Because with multiple tracks of programming there's a greater chance of there being something of interest at all times. Otherwise, if there's only one program at a time and it's a panel on black holes, all those who think that's a sucky topic won't have anything to do that hour. But with multiple tracks you can have "Black Holes - Nature Loves a Vacuum" at the same time as "Does Legion of Super Heroes Need Another Reboot?" and "Should the Last Print Short Story Market Go Digital?" so people with different interests can find something they like. Of course, this creates the possibility that people with varied interests would have to choose from multiple items, but that's better than having nothing to do.
