In your case, having the right people to interact with (in the bar, parties, etc etc) is more important to you, yet, many of those same folks like to be on programming. A convention is a balancing act - there are lots of plates spinning on the tops of poles. Capclave is not Midwestcon, nor is it Balticon. It's a small regional convention that tries to bring in interesting people for us to play with. Where & when you play is up to you... mjw
