This has been achieved through the good works of a couple of well respected fannish organisations. Noreascon 4, sponsored by MCFI, and SFSFC, who brought you ConJose have made grants which allowed us to afford the expensive connectivity provided by the vendor in the Anaheim Convention Center. The computers and attached bits are being provided by the folks who bring you the Baycon internet lounge. There will not be WiFi. (As generous as MCFI and SFSFC might be, $30,000+ is a bit out of anyone's available budget.) But there will be ten stations: eight with computers and two where you can connect your laptop directly to the line. (You can tell I'm not an IT guy.) These will be located in the Space Port Lounge, our 11,000 sq. ft. dining, lounging, drinking, hanging out area in the Convention Center. Look for the signs that say: "space academy intergalactic computer network access points" L.A.con IV thanks these groups for their very generous donations. Thank you N4/MCFI & SFSFC! Christian B.
