Well, he was my assitant head of Ops at ConStellation, which job he got based
on a lot of strong recommendations; at some other Worldcon I remember, he was
in charge of the stage ninjas for the masquerade.  At Noreascon 3 he was a
guide/docent for the fan memorabilia exhibit.  At Noreascon 4 he spent *many*
hours sitting in the concourse, giving away publishers' freebie books (at the
request of the committee) so that certain less honest dealers couldn't steal
them to sell.  And then, at ConJose I seem to recall he was the co-chair of
the convention.

Tom does what's asked of him; he's not too proud to do scut work, or afraid of
responsibility.  He steps up when needed.
