The only reason the dollar coins were a failure was that some idiot made two
decisions:

1 - They made them almost the same size and weight as a quarter.

2 - They turned down the idea to differentiate them with some corners.

The outcome was predictable when the average person with a handful of change
didn't know they had both dollars and quarters without looking close.

I'm one of the folks that love the idea of colored bills... but then again, I
also want the mint to stop wasting money on pennies. Just round ALL deals to
the nearest nickle and be done with it.
