I think not getting rid of the dollar bill at the same time (which I 
think both Canada and the UK--okay, the one pound note, in their case) 
was also part of the problem. I would have thought replacing the Suzy 
dollars with the nice gold Saky dollars would have met those objections, 
but that failed, too.

They also didn't realize coin trays in stores couldn't accommodate a new 
coin. So as far as I'm concerned, round the pennies (and stores could 
easily change prices so that the item plus tax came to a round number) 
and get rid of the dollar bill.--Eva Whitley
