As for me, my spelling credibility is on very shaky ground.
Well, it's never too late to learn.

But wait: a quick check of Webster's Dictionary reveals that
one definition of "flier" is "a small distributed handbill,"
which is exactly what I meant.

Definition of "flyer": "Same as flier." (I would've thought
"aviator.")

And to Samuel Lubbell:  There was indeed such a ,ah,
handbill. My copy's currently in the basement. I think it
ran six pages.

Regarding the vandalism; at least you can take the
consolation that you now know that you weren't the sole
victim, singled out. The same happened to us and 4-5 other
neighbor's cars.
