I'm sending this in plain text and hope that others will as well.  For
Pete's sake, it's really not difficult to shift an email client from fancy
text to plain.  Since what was the old WSFA list is where all the written
part of this started it's right and correct to see that it goes to both places.

I have to confess that I've been dryly amused at all the outrage.  After
all, until now it's been coming from the same general people. This sheaf of
papers is just yet another set of targets, another set of facts that don't
exist, different lies, and again attacking people at a very basic
level.  It's nothing the Gillilands haven't done before; it's been going on
for years.

But the fight is over, the war is past, and they've already lost.  This is
their last gasp.  Which expression has me grinning at the obvious follow
up: their last gasp has blown away the smoke and cobwebs.

And I'm afraid that now I'm laughing, having skimmed through their missive
again.  A number of comments could be made about the whole thing but
personally, I'm insulted.  Michael Nelson is the strategist.  Sam Lubell
and Cathy Green are the heavy lifters, doing the real work.  Me, I have
neither brains nor muscle, I was just jealous of Lee.  Damn.

Michael, can I at least be the person sent to beguile them with false
friendship several years back, accepting their invitations, to keep them
off track?  The public face of your intrigues, saying and posting what you
wanted?  The slattern who throws slops in their faces when they're trying
to confront the Overlord?

Something?

Please?

I just remembered!  I got myself elected Capclave 2006 Chair so that you
(sorry, Elaine) could be in charge of programming and thus snub Alexis.

I would be untrue to myself if I didn't include:  I miss my old friend
Alexis and always will.  At some level I still can't believe that he's not
going to come back although I know he won't.  So when writing about all of
this I have to think of the person with his name being a caricature,
pushing the person I knew into a corner of my mind.
