So much misunderstanding and wrong assumptions.

It's as if Lee believes that any male who speaks to her
is trying to flirt with her.  But you will have to take
my word that I have never intentionally flirted with Lee.
And for the record, Julie and I broke up in 1983, long
before I knew any of you.

Okay, I admit I wasn't very impressed with how Lee
managed her Capclave.  But I supported her and told
her soon after she was elected (I don't recall if I
was at the election meeting) what I tell every Capclave
chair: that I was willing to work any position she
wanted me to. (COMMITTEE POSITION!  I wasn't flirting!)
She never responded and I repeated my offer sometime
during the summer prior to the convention.

I think the low attendance figure and large negative
balance of Lee's Capclave speak for themselves.  But,
for the record again, I have stated several times in
the past that I feel Lee was more successful in one area
than any other Capclave chair -- she got the new WSFA
members involved!  And in the long run, I think that
fact will have a lasting positive impact on the future
of Capclave and WSFA.

I am a shy person and have an awful memory, especially
for names.  Combined with my speech impediment and poor
hearing, it makes me a terrible conversationalist.  I'm
sorry if I seem to be distant at meeting.  I probably
couldn't remember your name and was feeling horribly
embarrassed about it.  It takes a long time for a
name to "stick" in my head.  I apologize if my poor
social skills have exacerbated this sad situation.
