For all the complaints about Flint's editing, by the time he got to them, most of the the Schmitz books had been out of print for decades. Some of the Telzey stories had *never ever* been reprinted. Any editor could have put them out without revising them, none did. So yes, I would have prefered to have had the original versions, but the edited versions were certainly far better than nothing.
