Went to Darkover to sell books. Gosh, darn... they buy books. Saw a
few WSFAns there...

Discovered that in 2008 inaddition to Gaylaxicon being in DC
(http://www.gaylaxicon2008.org/ ) the weekend of 10-13 Oct, that
Bouchercon - the mystery convention is in Baltimore the same weekend:

Best t-shirt at Darkover: "Gollum's Sushi Shack"

And last night finally got to see The Prestige. Wow.... a film for
adults.

I must echo Howard Waldrop's and Lawrence Person's review on
www.locusmag.com: "At last, a movie not for dummies. Two Van de
Graaff generators up, way up!"

It'll be on my Hugo ballot for Best Dramtic Presentation, Long Form.

Chris Priest on the London premier ofthe film from his novel:

If you haven't seen it, do so... it's still playing. 2 hints: get
there in time, there are no opening credits. Don't drink a Super Big
Gulp... unless you have had a Foley inserted otherwise you'll miss part
of the trick. "Are you watching closely?"

Don't know if it's in your neighborhood? Go to Google, do a search
for: movies prestige. The first hit should be for Showtimes, click on
that, and in the search box put in your zip code or city/state.
