I proofread another Washington Convention Center Board of Directors
meeting today. The transcribers in India had a hard time, as usual.
The Center needs "plumping" work. Presumably this will be done by
members of the Plumpers Union. I wonder whether they'll use pipe
wrenches or feather pillows.

They also wrote that there was a recent event in the "Myriad Women
Park." I guess I can't blame them for never having heard of the
"Marriott Wardman Park," as it's now know. Many Disclaves were held
at that old hotel. I don't think any of them were attended by ten
thousand femmefans, however.

That's almost as good as the time they spoke of someone staying on
the straightened arrow.

Most of their errors aren't as interesting, because they aren't even
remotely close to what was actually said.

Since this is a foggy December eve, it's a good time to mention that
at last Friday's PRSFS meeting it was announced that a remarkable
discovery has been made by scholars of Old English. See
