Generally, the JW Marriott brand is their high end brand.

Within the Marriott properties, the Marriott Marquis name is generally
the "fancier" of the Marriott brand.  So, yes, it will be more expensive
than most other Marriotts - atleast the rack rate.

Convention rates are another matter entirely.

BTW, the Marriot chain started in DC, in the Columbia Heights area,
