Reply-To: WSFA members <WSFAlist at KeithLynch.net> On a publishing list I'm on, the issue of cookies, spyware, etc etc came up. & yes, Linux etc were mentioned as ways to avoid spyware... along with this amusing comment: "Not everyone was cut out to use vi or Emacs for simple text editing, let alone using TeX for layout. To most people, recompiling a kernel has something to do with popcorn. Besides, most of the guys I knew that were TeX fanatics were anti-social math/programming geniuses capable of hunting down and killing their dinner each night with a slide rule."
