There are many different ways to interact with a computer. Windows is one with certain advantages and disadvantages. Mostly disadvantages, from my perspective. Emacs is a powerful text editor. I'm using it now. It does take some learning. But I think it's worth it for anyone who plans to spend a total of 100 or more hours over the rest of their life editing text.
