Few books have been as succerssfull as Mr Potter.

12,000,000 copies of the new one ... just for the US. Who'dve thunk
back in 1997 - a decade ago - that a book that had an initial print run
of 1000 copies (go to www.abebooks.com to check pricing ...) would be
such a phenonennom. Not me ... nope ... the old crystal ball wasn't
working well then.

This: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/6452987.stm "The books
have been credited with bringing children back to reading..." is of some
hope.
