An extreme difference in magnitude.

You may not like Tom Clancy's work but he undeniably can plot, writes
sentences that make sense, and makes a stab at characterization.

Jack bought a few of these POD books for a book he was writing and they
would make Mary Sue, the fan fiction maven, embarrassed with their
wooden characters, leaden plotting, and painful grammar and syntax.--Eva
