That doesn't sound good, unless hypothetical only. She had plagiocephaly (flat on the back right, bulging a bit on the left rear and right front, kinda like the long axis of her head was shifted an eighth of a turn) contributed to by her achondroplasia (like those thirteen guys that Bilbo Baggins went on vacation with one year, or Judy-Lynn Del Ray), and perhaps her transverse oblique position (lyin' crossways on her back with her head, IIRC, a little down) in the womb, and maybe torticollis (repeated neck muscle spasm) that made her lie more frequently with her head looking to the right. The helmet allows her head to grow in certain areas, while restraining others. She'll be in it until (probably) the end of August. It stays on 23 hours a day, except for hourly wipings of sweat during the daytime. During her hour off she gets bathed and it gets cleaned with rubbin' ackerhol. Hanan is pretty okay with the thing, but the parents are a little strained these days. Walter
