If you have any interest in science, especially astronomy, check out this link:
http://www.galaxyzoo.org/Default.aspx
It's a project that is trying to classify something like a million
and a half galaxies, and they are asking for help from
everyone. They show you what needs to be done, run a little test to
see if you understand, and then turn you loose to classify galaxies
as elliptical or spiral, and if spiral, by which way they are
turning. They are also interested in whether you find any that are
colliding ("merging"). Some of the pictures are really pretty, some
are really hard to make out, but most have never been seen by anyone
before...though I suspect they are showing, or will be showing, them
to others to get a consensus about each classification since some
really are a judgement call.
It beats solitaire...
