Subject: [WSFA] Still time to get Worldcon site selection ballots to Japan

This is the usual pitch, trying to get more people to pay attention to site
selection, and includes information on both bids -

You can no longer mail in site selection ballots but Ben is going to be
hand carrying some. He'll be down here the weekend of the 17th and will be
picking up any from this area. So if you haven't mailed yours in and want
to vote please let me know. At the moment I don't know if I'm going to
Third Friday and there's also the Gibson event. But if there are ballots
to be picked up I obviously will be at WSFA. So I *must* know by Thursday,
the 16th of August so he and I can sort out his travel plans.

The voting ballot is at http://www.nippon2007.us/site_selection.php with a
voting fee of $45. ("Voting fee" is the wrong term: the money goes to the
winning bid so they have some start-up money.) If you do vote you
automatically become supporting members of the 2009 Worldcon regardless of
which bidder wins.

To vote you need a supporting membership for the Worldcon that's taking
care of the voting which costs $50. You can send that with your site
selection ballot using the form http://www.nippon2007.us/registration.php.

Info on the two bids follows. I've learned the hard way that filing
papers, while boring, are pretty important. So I'm including the links to
them.
