True, but false. What Keith omits from his narrative is the buses which
ran on a regular schedule in a loop between the convention center, the
hotels, and the restaurants and grocery stores in downtown Orlando --
which were maybe a mile away, maybe less (well within Keith's walking
distance). I drove to that convention (with my wife, my step-son and my
son), and parked my car at our hotel (at the far end of the strip from
the convention center, but still easy walking distance) where it stayed
until we left at the end of the convention. And, oh yeah, there were
coffee shops, grills, and restaurants in all the hotels clustered around
the convention center. Orlando caters to millions of people every year
who come to tour the Disney and other theme parks located near Orlando,
and you can be sure that it is not "in the middle of nowhere" for those
people. Keith had his blinders on.
