And also the 60th anniversary of the transistor.

And also the 30th anniversary of my arraignment, two days after
my false arrest.

And also Beethoven's 237th birthday. As always, I'm playing nothing
but Beethoven today, and tomorrow I will switch to playing Christmas
music.

As far as I'm concerned, the holiday season begins around now. Not at
the beginning of December. And certainly not before then. I do my
small part to keep it in its proper place -- whenever I see a store
has its Christmas decorations up or is playing Christmas music, if it
isn't Decemebr or January, I turn right around and leave.
