I don't know if you can locate a piece of your mind with a metal
detector...maybe a mental detector?

Seriously though, if the metal is ferrous, a magnet might do it.  I
have a fairly strong one you can borrow if you want it (speaker
magnet from Infinity car speaker).

I don't have a metal detector.
