I presume you saw my immediate reaction here, or in e-mail,
yesterday. Those on the "official" list who only read the website
didn't, as Ernest has taken it upon himself to censor things there,
but they can either read it here, or I will forward a copy upon
request for anyone who is curious.
Had I seen your apology prior to posting a reply, I would have left
out the flamage, but I'd probably still have corrected the
mis-assumptions that led to your being angry in the first place, and
suggested that you might want to consider taking your own advice
about attending to the quote I used and considering "human-ness" (my
word, not yours, but I think it covers the concepts you were
referring to)...both were good advice for anyone.
One aspect of humanity that I've noticed in many people is a tendency
not to grant human reaction/limitation rights to those they disagree
with, especially when they are defending those they do. It's also
very human not to notice that one is doing this. Just something to
think about, or perhaps discuss if you like.
