I guess everybody in fandom reads a lot, but Paul seemed to have a very broad knowledge of SF and F, and to pay especial attention to new writers, something I find nearly impossible as I rapidly ossify. He was responsible, I think, for having Michael Shea as GOH at Unicon one year, which turned out to be a real treat for me (reading-wise and hanging out, both). He procuced a huge amount of programming at cons over the years, but for such a sercon guy was way too modest and funny. Lucky to have had a friend like him. A few days ago, I was thinking "We oughtta invite Paul and Aly over sometime." Unh. Very sorry to hear this, -- ==================================================================== Walter A.
