Lynch" <kfl at KeithLynch.net> 09/14/08 7:25 PM >>> I finally did what I've been meaning to do for over two years: Split the Unicon page in Wikipedia into separate pages for the British and the Maryland Unicons, and provide more information for the latter. Please take a look at the Maryland Unicon page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unicon_(Maryland_science_fiction_convention) and tell me if anything looks wrong. Also please tell me if you can fill in any of the missing information. Was the first (1974) Unicon held on the University of Maryland campus, as once source claims, or at the Interstate Inn on Route 1 in College Park, as another source claims, and on what dates, and who chaired it? Where was the second (1976?) Unicon held? Who were the guests of honor of the second, third, and fourth Unicons, on what dates were they held, and who chaired them? Was the 1979 Unicon held at the Omni Shoreham or at the Shoreham Americana, or are those the same hotel? Was the "Mike Walsh" who was fan guest of honor at the 1983 Unicon WSFA's own Michael J. Walsh, or one of the several other Mike Walshes in fandom? For the last (1989) Unicon, am I linking to the correct Mark Russell? If any of you are on SMOFS or BWSMOFS, please forward this there, after checking to make sure nobody else already did so. Thanks.
