Hi Keith,
I hope that all is well with you and yours. It's been a while since I've
seen you. Things are going well here, for the most part.
I've been looking at upcoming conventions and such in the Baltimore area
to work my business, and Crystal reminded me at Pooh's last Saturday at
gaming that Capclave was coming up. I know that Nancy has previously
expressed that the con is too small for her, but I think it would be fine
for me.
I went onto the website today (which sucks, BTW, I don't know who
designed it, but it didn't provide a link for dealers to get information,
from what I could determine). I tried to send e-mail to the person who the
site said is in charge of the dealers, but it bounced back thusly:

Hi Judy,
My name is Sue Cochran. I'm not sure if we've met before or not. I've
been attending sf cons regularly since 1990, and I started working for Nancy
Lebovitz's Calligraphic Button business in 1999, which I had continued with
through the beginning of this year at Arisia. Last year, for a number of
reasons, I decided to phase out working for Nancy, and instead start a
company of my own, featuring Nancy's slogans, for which she and I have
worked out a royalty arrangement. I would like to know if you still have
space available in your dealer's room for a button and magnet vendor. I
carry 1" and 2 1/4" buttons and magnets with a wide variety of different
slogans, on all kinds of topics. They are done in Nancy's marvelous
calligraphy, on beautiful papers. Depending on the cost and dimensions of
the tables, I may want to get 2 of them. I would like to know how many
people you are expecting to attend this year's con, how many attendees you
had at last year's CapClave, if there are any other button dealers already
planning to attend, the cost and size of tables, and if memberships are
required from dealers (and if membership to the con is included in the cost
of the space). I would also like to know about accessibility in the hotel,
as I need a scooter to get around for long distances. I can walk and stand,
but neither for very long without needing to get off my feet. I look forward
to hearing from you!
Thanks,
Sue Cochran

Keith - is there any way that you could please pass this on to the person I
tried to reach, or if she's not the one I need to speak to, whoever is in
charge of the dealer's room at CapClave this year? I would really appreciate
it greatly. Thanks!
Hugs,
Sue
