Barack Obama being a fan of Conan the Cimmerian is as logical as Patrick
Leahy being a fan of Batman. Given that Conan was an active "ladies' man"
throughout prehistoric Europe, Africa and North America, Mr. Obama might be
related to Conan on both sides of his family tree. :-)
Regarding mundane political comments in WSFA, Article Four of our
Articles of Incorporation includes the following: "The corporation [WSFA]
shall not engage in lobbying or any form of legislative or electoral
activity." It's part of being a nonprofit organization. I interpret this
as referring to official club activities such as business meetings and
Capclave. I regard nattering on the WSFA Forum etc. as a form of personal
dialog rather than lobbying or legislative or electoral activity. Do any of
our lawyers have a different interpretation?
