"While the company prepares to take the next step in digital bookselling, =
it is in the final phase of closing down its remaining Dalton outlets. =
Prior to opening its superstores, Dalton was the backbone of B&N, but the =
company has been steadily closing stores under that brand for eight years, =
shutting 35 to 50 annually. There are about 30 Dalton stores remaining =
open and all will be closed by January 31."
