The committee to discuss SF meets after the business part of the meeting and discusses the latest issue of Asimovs or F&SF. WSFA Press put out a book of Harry Turtledove stories and more books may be on their way! We have worked with Reiters bookstore in DC to bring in writers in town for a homeland security conference to do a talk and book signing We had an author give a reading at our meeting and may have another soon too. So yes, WSFA is doing a lot more than just convention business.
