Well, you see, one of the analysts at the Board was her daughter. Her mom came
in one day, and was talking to her and my boss, who was also a (non-active)
fan. They called me in, and her daughter introduced us, and we went off on a
fun, if brief, conversation, while my boss, who'd never been to a con and
didn't understand fandom, had his eyes bugging out as we sounded like old
acquaintances. <g>
