Joe Mayhew died.  Which date I wouldn't have remembered except that Keith
Lynch does.

I could kill Keith for reminding me of something I don't want to remember,
or realize how long it's been.  At the same time I'm glad he reminded me
and hope that he'll continue doing so.

So that people know I'll not say anything further, respond to anything
further, or read anything further unless addressed directly to me.  "It's
not you, it's me".  If you do want to honor him skip the platitudes.  Just
pay enough attention to notice when a kid needs a ride home from a
convention and go out of your way to do it without fuss, or announcing
it.  Just do it: notice enough to notice the kid.  Don't fuss over it, just
do it.
